About PositionSizer

A free, risk-first position size calculator for traders and investors — built on a single honest division problem.

What PositionSizer is

PositionSizer, published on incash.live, is a free set of risk-based position size calculators for traders and investors in stocks, forex, crypto and any instrument with a linear price-per-unit relationship. The site exists to make one habit easy: decide how much you are willing to lose before you decide how much to buy or sell.

The idea behind the tools

Most trading losses are not caused by bad forecasts; they are caused by position sizes that were chosen before anyone knew what the loss would be. The risk-first method inverts that. You set the loss as a small percentage of your account, you place the stop-loss where the trade invalidates, and the size follows from arithmetic: size equals risk amount divided by the distance from entry to stop.

Because every input is yours and every calculation runs in your browser, results are instant, private and exact — no live price feed can make a division problem more accurate.

What the site offers

Five purpose-built pages: a universal position size calculator, a forex calculator with pips and lots, a crypto calculator with eight-decimal precision, a stock calculator, and a risk/reward calculator with break-even win rate. Each page carries its own educational guide, worked examples and FAQ.

All tools support long and short positions, leverage, six account currencies and a one-click copy of the full trade plan. Everything is free, no account is required, and the mathematical formulas behind every result are shown on the page.

Who it is for

The site is written for day traders, position traders, swing traders, crypto investors and anyone learning risk management. The tone is technical but accessible: formulas are always explained in plain language, and risky practices are flagged rather than Americanised into a sales pitch.

A note on accuracy

The core mathematics is verified by an automated test suite that checks long and short sizing, leverage, forex lots and pips, yen pairs, sub-cent crypto prices and input validation. The math is deterministic; the assumptions — such as stop fills at your price — are clearly disclosed so you know what every output really assumes.
